Khopra Danda Trek

13 Days

Khopra Danda Trek or Khair Lake trek is the most scenic and unspoiled short trek in the Annapurna Himalayas. The beautiful Khopra Danda Trek journey starts from a beautiful city of Pokhara after a flight from Kathmandu; and heads towards higher altitudes; as you cross famous villages of Gurung and Magar, walking across the alluring rhododendron forest, dazzling rivers and waterfalls; and then climbing to Poon Hill and Khopra Danda viewpoint for magical sunrise views.

The Khopra Danda trek (also known as the Khopra Ridge trek) is a great alternative to the more popular (and more crowded) Ghorepani trek, taking you higher still to another great viewpoint of the Annapurnas.

To organize your trek to Khopra Danda, get in touch with Adventure Connexion in Nepal who can get everything organized for you. You’ll have an experienced licensed guide, a well thought through itinerary, and the flexibility during the trek to move at your own pace. Starting your trek, you’ll be staying in villages namely Ghandruk, Tadapani, Dobato, Chistibung and Swanta among others.

To complete the Khopra Danda Trek, you only need two permits. One ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area permit) and the other one is a TIMS card (Trekking Information Management System. ACAP permit only cost NPR 3,000 (USD 27), and TIMS card costs USD 10 per person.
