In addition to being a stunning mountain viewpoint, Dhampus is also an ethnic Gurung village, and this trip will give you an opportunity to observe the daily lives of villagers.
One of the most popular treks from Pokhara, this Dhampus Sarangkot Trek offers amazing mountain views and passes through pleasant villages resided by the Ghale and Gurung tribes. The major attractions of the hike include the exploration of villages, visiting local schools, meeting with locals and witnessing panoramic scenes of the elevated Himalayas like Mt. Machhapuchare (Fishtail), Himchuli and Annapurna South.
3 Day Trek near to Pokhara is famous viewpoint called Sarangkot will make it a fantastic 3 days of soft, scenic trek from Pokhara to the Annapurna foothills. In the 3 days version of the Nepal trek, we walk from Dhampus to Sarangkot, stay overnight there and trek further to Pokhara the next day. Sarangkot offers great view of a long panorama of the Himalayas including Annapurnas, Dhaulagiri and the Fishtail. You can also have great view of the Pokhara city and the Phewa lake from here.
